The Food Lab was founded in September 2019, and its founder, Sun Sida, is a serial entrepreneur with four patents and considerable FMCG experience.

In the health food market, as a start-up company, Food Lab chose to start with the minor category of “fish” and named the product “A Piece of Fish – Deep Sea Tuna Fish Crisp”.

This original “fish crisps” healthy snack, which focuses on high protein, low calorie, and zero additives, was well received by consumers after its launch, with average monthly sales over RMB 1.2 million yuan (USD $ 180,000).
