According to China’s Ministry of Commerce, e-commerce has helped to drive up consumption by local consumers.
The official data shows that during the holiday of Labor’s Day, the online retail sales value is up by 36.3% from a year ago, which has played a vital role to drive up consumption amid COVID-19.
The e-commerce platforms have launched all kinds of sales campaign, and some of the platforms have generated a rise of sales volume by 40%.
An upgrade in consumption can also be seen from the popularity of green, smart and health products. The live-streaming methods have also helped to expand the market. One single live-streaming room can generate 600,000 orders with the value of 140 million yuan.
A lot of foreign trade companies also make good use of e-commerce platforms to sell products in domestic market instead of going abroad. (Source:baidu.com)
