According to the National Statistics Bureau, retail sales of consumer products were up by 8% from a year ago, reaching 41.2trillion yuan.

Despite the growth rate of the consumer products going slow, the growth rate of cosmetics is still high. Thanks to the boost of e-commerce sales campaigns, the retail sales of cosmetics were up by 16.8% from a year ago.

During the Singles’ Day sales, seven cosmetics brands, including domestic and international brands, all reached 100 million sales value in the first hour o the sales. (sina.com)
