The national market regulator recently released the management regulation of ads of medicines, medical equipment, health food and special-use food, which will take effect since the coming March.

The regulation requires all info in the relevant ads to be accurate and contains no misleading or false information. The advertiser should take responsibility of the accuracy and legality of the content of relevant ads.

Regarding health food, the management regulation says that no ads should mention disease prevention or treatment, and the ad should read health food is not medicines and cannot replace medicine to cure disease. The ads should also show the logo of health food, and the applied and not applied group. (Source:sina.com)
