On August 26, the General Administration of the People’s Republic of China announced the approval of 10 new domestically-registered health food products.

Normally when quoting companies how long it takes for a supplement to get approval, most industry experts quote 2-3 years. However, from this example, we can see the real time is more like 5-6 years.
Hopefully in the future, this time can be reduced by incorporating the “Blue Hat” system together into the newer recording system for vitamins and minerals. This should reduce the time down to one year. Obviously this is better than 5-6 years, but one year is still overkill for nutritional supplements. (Source: HPA-China)
