The blue cover book on China’s cardiovascular disease prevention is recently released in Beijing. The press conference was co-held by China’s Red-Cross Foundation, Life Times newspaper and China Cardiovascular Health Association.

The book aims to provide scientific evidence for policymakers to promote the prevention efforts towards cardiovascular disease.

The report shows that China now has about 290 million people who suffer from cardiovascular disease. The death toll of relevant diseases from 1990 to 2016 rose from 2.5 million to 4 million. Besides death, the high rate of disease has brought heavy economic and mental burden to families. (Source:bjd.com)
