The National Medical Products Administration recently released the 2018 annual pharmaceutics regulation report on its official website.

The report shows that, by the end of last November, China has 4441 companies of pharmaceutics and bulk drug production. About 508,000 companies have obtained medicines operations approval nationwide, 14,000 of which are wholesales companies, 5671 of which are retail chain enterprises, and 234,000 retail pharmacies.

By the end of last November, China has 4664 cosmetics production companies, and 17,000 medical equipment production companies.（Source:nmpa.gov.cn）
