Gao Feng, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce said at a recent press conference that due to the recent situation and problems in the direct-selling industry, the Ministry has suspended relevant accreditation and review, and would cooperate with relevant government agencies to launch campaign to clean up the health market.

“We will comprehensively comb the recent situation of the direct-selling industry nationwide, enhance management of relevant companies, and will severely punish any illegal or substandard conducts if found any, which aims to better protect consumers’ due rights,” said Mr. Gao.
