The committee of cross-border food industry cooperation under the Ministry of Commerce’s investment promotion bureau was recently officially set up in Beijing.

At the launching ceremony, nearly a hundred representatives from China-foreign investment promotion institutions,embassies,commerce associations, research institutions, media outlets, state-owned companies, and leading companies from Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Hubei, Yunnan and Xinjiang attended.

Li Yong, deputy bureau chief of the Ministry of Commerce’s investment promotion bureau addressed at the ceremony.

The committee was mainly set up to promote the international exchange and cross-border cooperation for food industry, enhancing the upgrading of China’s food industry.

Representatives addressed at the meeting said that the general revenue of China’s food industry and its consumption are growing year by year, and the potential for cross-border cooperation is huge. (Source: chca.net.cn)
