Local authorities of Lishui recently held a press conference regarding its latest crackdowns on the illegal sales of health foods through conference selling.

In recently years, some illegal vendors have taken advantage of elderly consumers’ mentality to conduct false advertisements, and sell low-quality health food, medical equipment and food at high prices.

The local market regulators of Lishui recently launched campaigns to target these illegal activities. So far, 18 major cases were cracked down with fines of more than 500,000 Yuan and a total of 4.73 million Yuan of confiscations. (Source:lishui.gov)
