China’s national market regulator recently gathered 13 e-commerce sites for a meeting ahead of the upcoming Singles’ Day.
The invited companies include JD.com, baidu, amazon China, Dangdang.com,ping duoduo, guomei, meituan, suning, kaola of Netease, Alibaba, Tecennt and vip.com.
Qin Yizhi,deputy bureau chief of the agency said at the meeting that in the past few years during the sales campaign, substandard conducts include false advertisement, unfair treatment, and restriction put on vendors to select platforms are spotted.
The agency requires the relevant sites to answer to consumers’ demand, and enhance regulations over information release, fair competition, and consumers’ rights protection. (Source: baijiahao.baidu.com)
