An increasing number of cheap health product are trying to lure local elderly consumers in the name of tradition culture or high-tech invention these days. These vendors are also trying to extract profits by selling these products at high price.
To better enhance protection against elderly citizens, the local standing committee of Heilongjiang recently release a legal document which says that consumers who are above 60 years old can return health food from seminars or meetings within 7 days of purchase.

This would prevent more cases of elderly consumers buying substandard products from illegal vendors, who are luring consumers by holding all kinds of marketing seminars and events.

Experts also urge the local regulators to better manage the marketing campaigns to root out illegal conducts. (Source：people.com.cn)
