The provincial market regulator of Hainan province recently launches special campaign to crack down illegal health food sales and false advertisement, and highlights venues including communities, rural areas, online platforms, campuses and supermarkets.
The special campaign would include seminars to educate consumers in local communities, and help them to better recognize fraud of relevant health food sales.
Since November last year, the regulators have inspected local food and health food companies for over 1843 times, and spotted 423 batches of problematic food and health food, as well as 16 online vendors which are found to conduct fake advertisement. (Souce: Hainan Daily)
