Under the guidance of the food safety office of the State Council, over 40 principals from primary and secondary schools nationwide gathered in Beijing recently to discuss the food safety issue on campus.

Alongside the seminar for principals, another training session for media outlets was also held regarding the issue of food safety.

The official with the State Council said at the opening speech that young consumers, especially students, are often heavily influenced by talks in media or by celebrities, so directors of media outlets should better regulate issued relevant to food safety, and minimize negative influence to young audiences.

The regulators also organized principals to the local food and drug bureau of Fengtai district to take lessons on regulation procedures and standard. (Source: gscn.com)
