The press office of the local government of Inner Mongolia said at a recent conference that it aims to build model zones of food safety based on national standard.

Since late July, the local authority has cracked down 136 cases related to health food sales and false advertisement, confiscating goods and money which value at over 2 million yuan.

Starting this year, the local authority has stepped up efforts to inspect local health food companies. 13 health food companies were inspected. So far, no illegal cases regarding label or instruction book have been spotted (Source: sina.com)
