Since this June, 1st, Beijing FDA has shortened the time for businesses to get food and health food business permit from 20 working days to five working days.

The application procedure is also simplified, from the original 5 steps of application to 3 steps.

Beijing FDA says that those applicants who only apply for re-packaged food don’t have to be present with the regulator, which would help to simplify the on-spot inspection. (Source: Beijing FDA)
