According to the provincial regulator of Yunnan, in the first half of the year, the provincial authority has cracked down 3430 illegal cases involving health food, cosmetics, drug and medical equipment. The goods confiscated are at the value of 43.33 million yuan.

The campaign aims to better serve the needs of local consumers and protect their due rights.

Over 65,000 food vendors, school cafeterias and restaurants were inspected. Over 220 cases were set by the local police. No systematic problem was found during the inspection.

The inspections cover 16 cities and 128 counties within the province. Among the reported cases, 137 were about cosmetics, 150 were about special food. (Source: foodmate.net)
