According to the General Administration of Customs, China’s import trade of infant formula was up by 31.7% to 291,000 tons last year.

Numbers by the general administration of customs showed that the import trade of infant formula started to fell since 2014, and touched the bottom in 2016.

The imported dairy products come from 32 countries and regions,the top three of which are the European Union, New Zealand and Australia.

250 batches of dairy products were rejected from importing by the local customs, due to substandard quality, label or food additives. (Source:Shuzheng Kangxun)
