A recent report by Beijing Daily showed that 30.4% of elderly online users were caught by health food sales fraud, followed by red-pocket fraud and lottery fraud.
The report also shows that when elderly consumers are caught by any online fraud cases, 83.5% of them would turn to family members for help, 35.4% of them would look for help from the police, 29.5% would turn to classmates, colleagues or friends for help.
Among all activities that elderly consumers like to do online, chatting, reading news and listening to music are the most favored activities. (Source: Beijing News)
