Recently, the food safety office of the State Council held meetings to gather officials, who are in the leadership team to crack down sales fraud and false advertisement of food and general food.

Since last July, local authorities have been implementing relevant requirement to set up system to inspect food production and sales companies. A number of major cases were inspected, and the campaign has yielded a certain positive result.

So far, over 24,000 cases that involve sales fraud and false advertisement of health food were cracked, with the value of 1.47 billion yuan. Products that value at 330 million yuan were confiscated. (Source:CFDA)
