The local market inspectors of Quanzhou, Fujian province recently launched special campaign to crack down on online health food and cosmetics sales.

The involved products include vitamin, protein powder, lotion, sun screening cream and lipsticks. The inspectors would check vendors for qualification of online sales, whether products have gained official approval to sell, whether the product information on the packages match that registered with officials and whether imported products bear Chinese labels.

Nine vendors have been checked, four of which were found to have problems.

The inspectors would strengthen management and inspections on relevant vendors in the future. (Source: mnw)
