A consumer surnamed Zhang bought three boxes of propolis imported from Brazil at a total price of 1065 yuan.

When he bought the products, he did not see any Chinese label or logo of health food or drug. The vendor did not tell that propolis is drug instead of general food.

After Mr. Zhang learned that propolis is a kind of drug, he sued the company for violating food safety regulations, and asked for compensation of 11,700 yuan, which is ten times the value of what he paid for the products.
