Recently, the local FDA of Wuhan recently updates on the number of complaint reports over food and drug.

The numbers show that in 2017, the agency has received 24,768 complaint reports of all kinds. Among them, food related reports account for over 70%, and reports about health food were up by 300% compared to a year ago.

Relevant directors of Wuhan FDA said that the increase of complaint reports show that the local consumers have raised awareness of food safety and have an increasing demand to protect their due rights.

At the same time, the number of food related complaint reports was down by 6.4% compared with a year ago, which means that the general level of Wuhan’s food safety has been improving. (Source: Hubei Daily)
