A local consumer in Qingdao surnamed Chen reported to the local media that a health food sold at a local pharmacy claimed that a fish oil product it sells can prevent Alzheimer’s disease.

According to Mr. Chen, a staff at the store owned by Qingdao Tongfang told him that a fish oil product sold at the store can cure and prevent Alzheimer’s disease and relevant symptoms.

The market regulator of Qingdao’s Beiqu district later came to the store and collect relevant documents to further investigate into this case.

“I learned that no medicine can really cure or prevent Alzheimer’s disease, let alone health food,” said Mr. Chen. ” I hope the government agencies can look into this case and better regulate the market.” (Source: cnfood)
