According to China Chamber for Medicine and Health Product Import & Export (CCCMHPIE), the import and export trade volume of China’s health food reached 3.56 billion dollars in 2017, up by 12.2% from a year ago, among which 1.37 billion dollar was generated from export trade, up by 11.5% from a year ago.
Most of the products are exported to America, Hong Kong, Japan and Indonesia, and most are from Jiangsu, Guangdong, Shanghai, Shandong and Zhejiang province.
The import products are mostly from America, Australia, Germany and Thailand to areas including Zhejiang, Guangdong, Shanghai and Beijing, whose economic development exceed the rest of the country.
By the end of March this year, 17457 health products were granted by the Chinese officials with “blue hat”, among which 773 are imported products. (Source: sina.com)
