The Consumer Committee of Guangdong province recently purchased 30 batches of health food from the local market, and sent the products to a third-party institution for testing.
The committed institution of food quality control and supervision station in Guangzhou would compare and test the bought products, as requested by the Committee.
The products were bought by staffs with the Committee as ordinary consumers from the local market. The products were bought from 13 stores and covered the most popular products sold in Guangzhou.
The products were from 20 brands, include fish oil, calcium pills and protein powder. The Committee aims to test whether the products contain any pollutants, which were banned by the local regulators. (Source: ifeng.com)
