The provincial food regulator of Shaanxi recently held a press conference to release information of its special campaign to crack down over illegal general good and health food cases.

125 cases were spotted that involve illegal sales of health food and general food, cracks down 43 illegal marketing campaigns, and 117 vendors that operate without official approval. 219 illegal health products were confiscated. 174 ads were spotted to be substandard.

Since last August, eleven provincial government agencies in Shaanxi teamed up to crack down on illegal conducts of general food and health food. Special attention would be paid to false advertisement and products that are sold without official approval. (Source: shaanxi.gov.cn)
