At a recent press conference, regulators of CFDA released a consumption alert to local consumers ahead of CNY, and be careful with those false advertisements and unscientific medial advice given during those expert seminars.

By the end of last year, the national food and drug regulators have inspected over 870,000 health food and general food companies, and spotted over 12,000 illegal cases that valued at 360 million yuan. The regulators pay special attention to false advertisement during the inspections.

In the notice of key companies to be spot checked by CFDA in 2017, 774 companies were listed that covers 28 kinds of health food and food of special medical use, including Beijing Tongrentang and Buy-Health. （Source：Guangzhou Daily)
