The state authority of food and drug recently released a legislation plan for 2018.

The plan says that the special food registration department will proceed the following acts: the updated version of registration guidance of health food has been submitted to the higher authority, while the registration guidance on infant formula products and food of special use are under amendment. The updated drafts of the latter two are expected to be submitted to the higher authority by June.

The updated version of the implementation regulation of China’s food law has been submitted to the State Council for review. Relevant agencies together with the legislation department of CFDA are cooperating to facilitate the review and relevant issues.
