Recently, China’s product quality control authority, AQSIQ, said in a public letter that no fish oil or relevant products are allowed to be imported without reporting for importing to the officials first.

Fish oil should not apply as general food for importing, as it is not consumed by Chinese consumers traditionally. Only those products that register or filed for record can be imported to the local market, says the notice. (Source: Suzheng kangxun)
