China’s state regulator of food and drug recently released a notice to local FDAs and China’s food and drug appraisal research center to strengthen regulations over cosmetics.
The notice says that CFDA is going to set up a risk monitoring secretariat to launch a nationwide inspection over the matter of risk management of cosmetics products.
The secretariat will be in charge of coordination and management of daily work conducted by the appraisal research center of China’s food and drug.
A special inspection team will also be set up by the state regulator to gather information from member companies on risk control of cosmetics products, and provide recommendation and suggestion based on relevant information. (Source: CFDA)
