Officials of CFDA held a meeting in Wuhan to promote crackdown on sales fraud and false advertisement of health food and general food.

Sun Meijun, deputy bureau chief of CFDA, said at the meeting that each department should take innovative approach to promote crackdown on illegal conducts. Spot checks on health food and some key products should be strengthened. Regulators should hold regular meetings and campaigns to educate local consumers on how to tell substandard products from good ones, and how to protect themselves from sales fraud.
