To crack down on illegal marketing of health food, which misleads consumers and harms consumers’ due rights, nine government agencies in Gansu province co-released a work plan to crack down on sales fraud of health food and general food.

Those vendors who have not gained operational qualification offline should not sell health food and general food online.

Nine agencies have clarified on the responsibility of online e-commerce platforms, and that of the venue operators. All food vendors should register in real name at venues. Those which conduct illegal sales would be held legally accountable.

Food and health food importers should make sure the quality of the product is up to standard and the label is genuine. (Source: Gansu Daily)
