Program is Focused on Researchers and Developers Worldwide Looking for Innovations in Krill
May 5, 2015 Oslo, Norway: Aker BioMarine, a global leader in krill-based products to the dietary supplement, pet food and aquaculture markets, appreciates and supports academic institutions and companies who want to conduct quality investigations of krill material. To that end, Aker is now accepting new partners for their Open Innovation program, tailored to researchers and product developers interested in different krill innovations for delivery such as combination products and new formulations.
The program offers many key benefits such as access to Aker BioMarine’s patents, free supply of products, access to comprehensive pre-clinical and clinical database, support in formulation development, support from the Aker BioMarine R&D team and resource sharing for developing unique end-product concepts and initial commercialization.
“Currently, Aker has a wide range of krill derived products and development candidates, plus a skilled team of scientists expanding the knowledge of krill through laboratory work, pre-clinical studies, clinical trials, preparation of scientific and regulatory strategies and much more,” said Nils Hoem, Chief Scientist, Aker BioMarine Antarctic AS. “While a large amount of this research has already been executed, we are reaching out to researchers who have interest and experience to further develop our products through the Open Innovation program. As the only krill supplier offering this program, we are excited to further grow the industry by bringing unique products to market.”
