November 12, 2011 (Benxi, China) – The fifth TCM Herbal Industry Development Forum was organized by the Ministry of Commerce’s Chamber for Medicine and Health Products together with the Chinese Medicine Association, Benxi Municipal government and Liaoning Dashi Medicine Company. The organizers invited the association’s executive director Jeff Crowther to give a presentation on U.S. regulations and current market status of herbs in America.

This was a well attended event and gave the association the ability to talk directly with hundreds of Chinese herbal suppliers about quality assurance and potentials for their products in the U.S. market. During his presentation as well as at lunch Crowther took the opportunity to market NSF’s cGMP certification program and also New Hope Media’s newly branded engredea expo. Both companies are board members of the association.

Crowther also had time to catch up with old friends. Here he is pictured with China Chamber’s Vice President Liu (center) and Liaoning Dashi Medicine Company’s CEO Mr. Shi both of which Crowther has worked with over the last six years.
